Reimbursement That Rewards Better Care

Discover practical strategies for boosting tobacco cessation while supporting quality metrics, cost control, and value-based contracts.

Why This Matters Now

Following the dismantling of key public health offices, including the CDC’s tobacco division, a critical gap has emerged in tobacco cessation leadership. This site gives clinicians the tools to take initiative—improving care while reducing costs, starting with reimbursement.

The Big Picture on Nicotine and Public Health

Nicotine use is a global public health problem with over 1.3 billion tobacco users and more than 8 million deaths annually. In the U.S. alone, 490,000 people die each year from  tobacco-related illnesses, which consume 8.3% of the healthcare budget.

Yet nicotine users and their doctors are navigating  a politicized and fragmented information landscape. This site aims to provide the clarity and tools needed to help patients move toward health—and help doctors structure their practices to support them.
